Welcome to our website –  a great starting point to find information and horticultural advice for your West Coast garden. Our staff gardeners have a wealth of practical advice and garden tips based on their experience in their own gardens in Victoria, the North Shore, and in and around Vancouver, and look forward to sharing these with you on the web, by telephone, or in person on your next visit to one of our neighbourhood garden centres.  Click on the “contact us” button on the navigation bar above for contact information or locations of each of our six garden centres.

Throughout February, our staff stay busy shaping up the garden centres for spring, at the same time receiving daily deliveries of a wide selection of plants and garden supplies in anticipation of a fabulous gardening season! We are presently well stocked with cheerful early spring colour and have already received early deliveries of perennials from our local growers. Earliest shipments of trees & shrubs are expected by mid-February.

Although its too early for work in a soggy garden, keen gardeners are busy choosing and starting flower & vegetable seeds indoors or in greenhouses or cold frames, and preparing for mid-February pruning of many trees and shrubs. Our garden centres have a full selection of seeds and seed starting supplies available now, and members of our staff of experienced gardeners are available every day of the week, delighted to answer any questions you may have about pruning and early season garden preparation!

As February progresses, there are two notable groups of plants that deserve extra attention – exotic orchids for indoors, and beautiful hellebores for the garden. Our orchid & hellebore selections will be at their best throughout the month – please visit your favourite GardenWorks location to discover what we have “in store” this year!
