PERENNIAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER

GardenWorks Victoria is looking for a candidate with a special mix of organizational, merchandising and customer service skills.  The perennial department is a high volume and exciting department which presents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.  The position is to full time most of the year, with the exception of January and early February.

This person will need to have or develop a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the perennial department. Responsibilities would include ordering, receiving and displaying perennial material for this department. Maintaining appropriate inventory levels through effective purchasing, pricing, and markdown management in order to achieve expected gross margin levels.  The ability to do moderate physical work quickly, efficiently, and sometimes under pressure is essential.  An important focus on providing excellent customer service with the ability to communicate and work effectively with supervisors and other team members is fundamental to this position.
