Heat oven to 375 deg. F

1 1/4 cups margarine
3/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp allspice (or ground cloves)
3 cups quick oats
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup flaked coconut

Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment.
In a large bowl cream together margarine and both sugars.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices, then stir into creamed mixture.
Stir in the oats, bananas, raisins and coconut, one at a time.
Drop by tablespoonfuls two inches apart on cookie sheets. (They don’t spread)
Bake for 11-13 minutes.  Allow to cool one minute before removing to wire racks.
Makes about four dozen large cookies.
