Heat oven to 350 deg. F
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 or 4 tbsp icing sugar for rolling dough
Stir sugars into margarine and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Stir dry ingredients into sugar mixture. Dough will be quite stiff so you may need to knead it by hand.
Form dough into walnut-sized balls and roll in icing sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on lined cookie sheet and press down lightly.
Bake 12-14 minutes.
