GardenWorks has partnered with LifeSpace Gardens to create a one of a kind garden in the heart of Burnaby featuring locally made self-watering gardens by LifeSpace.
The garden is an initiative to help us teach and inform the community about the benefits of growing your own food as well as demonstrating how easy and fun it can be!
Together, we hope to reach at least 5,000 local kids, schools and groups to teach them about gardening and all the amazing things they can grow and eat.
At harvest time, we spread the joy of growing your own food to local non-profit charities like Growing Chefs, Sprouting Chefs and Project Chef by donating the produce grown to help the kids in these programs learn to cook. Healthy Herb Garden

A perennial herb garden can keep your low-maintenance garden full and your food fresh! Assure the health of your herbs through the years through proper planting, pruning & harvesting techniques. In turn, your herbs will contribute to your health! (Organic Sage/Mint/Rosemary/Oregano/Chives).
Sprouting Chefs Summer Cooking Day Camps
Monday – Friday, July 24 – July 28 11am – 1pm (7 – 9 year olds) – $150*
Monday – Friday, August 28 – September 1 11am – 1pm (4 – 6 year olds) – $100*
Young chefs will learn to harvest fresh ingredients from either Learning Garden to create masterful dishes! This camp is a fun way to enhance skills in cooking, gardening and mindfulness within each participant. Activities and recipes will be taught in a ‘demo style’ and will include: basic meals, snacks and lunches, appetizers, and even a few delicious fresh seasonal desserts.
