Sales Floor Manager - Oak Bay

We are looking for an energetic and passionate people person who is obsessed with creating a memorable experience with our Oak Bay guests.

At GARDENWORKS we work in all areas of the store. This roles primary focus centres around the Gift & Home Décor & Tropical Plant areas, as they live together in the store!

As part of the leadership team, you will lend your talents to providing daily direction on priorities, mentoring and ongoing development of our team.

Overview of role:

  • Growing sales and supporting the GARDENWORKS Brand
  • Ordering tropical plants - managing the inventory flow by anticipating need, ordering the right mix, and ensuring the space always looks full and inspiring!
  • Ongoing plant maintenance - we only sell high quality, healthy plants!
  • Receiving & inventory management in our Tropical & Home Décor selling space
  • Placing replenishment orders of specific Gift & Home Décor lines
  • We look to you to bolster a positive & fun work environment where our team can be proud of their work and are recognized for their contribution

Is this you?

  • Are people focused - you have a strong passion for retail and are committed to providing an outstanding & memorable guest experience
  • A curious mind, looking at fresh approaches to growing sales
  • Tropical Plant knowledge would be a total bonus, but not a deal breaker as we have many plant geeks that would be happy to share their knowledge with you!
  • A positive attitude, you love working & collaborating within a team environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, and holidays as seasonal peaks require, including store opening and closing responsibilities

*Positions within the garden centre require extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to perform some lifting
