Department Lead – Gift & Home Décor (Oak Bay)

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual with strong people skills to join our team and celebrate our brand! This is a full-time position with weekend availability required.

How you will contribute:

  • Building sales & supporting the GARDENWORKS brand by engaging with our guests over common interests in home décor & gardening
  • Sharing product knowledge, new arrivals, and current trends to inspire our guests
  • Working with the team creating inspiring displays, managing product placement that is reflective of trend and supports brand messaging
  • Receiving of all incoming product shipments, recording damaged items, shortages, and corresponding with buyer/vendor to rectify damages and shortages

Is this you?

  • Are people focused - you have a strong passion for retail and are committed to providing an outstanding & memorable guest experience
  • 2+ years of retail sales experience – preferably in gift and home décor
  • A creative ability to visually showcase plants and home decor together to inspire our guests
  • Proven ability to drive results in a selling role, exceeding individual, and store goals
  • A positive attitude, you love working & collaborating within a team environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, and holidays as seasonal peaks require, including store opening and closing responsibilities

Job type: Full time 32-40 hours per week
Salary: $21.00 – 23.00/hr.
