We are looking for a digitally savvy, passionate, creative, to join our marketing team! The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing on the brand’s social media-based communication strategies - acting as the brand voice and customer support, across all social channels and online communities with the intention of driving traffic and sales in-store and to www.gardenworks.ca

This is a full-time position – Monday to Friday schedule.
 

Overview of role:

  • Maintenance of all social media channels, including planning & execution, writing posts, selecting images, and reporting analytics and key metrics
  • Responding to social media inquiries, comments from followers, and DM’s, with relevant, brand specific information in a timely manner
  • Attend company events and produce live social media content - occasional travel required between stores
  • Collaborate with influencers, shoppers, and sellers to generate engaging social media content
  • Management of our website, ensuring content is up to date with accurate information and assist with web editing and design
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messaging including advertising, product development, and brand management
  • Assist in the production of creative materials such as digital ads, signage, posters, handouts, and various other marketing materials when required
  • Provide guidance for our weekly Global TV segments, including scheduling topics & talent, and communicating this to our retail stores
  • Aid in the execution of photo and video shoots that are scheduled on and off-site

Is this you?

  • A minimum of 2-years relevant experience
  • You have passion for digital media, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, CMS and YouTube with strong content development, copywriting, and copy-editing skills
  • Direct experience using social media management tools (specifically Hootsuite)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • You are a creative thinker with strong technical skills to successfully grow our online community • You love working & collaborating within a team environment, as well as independently • You have strong organization skills; self-directed and you work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills with the ability to effectively manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge using photo editing apps and content creation software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Stay up to date with best practices and what makes content successful in today’s social media world
  • Personal knowledge and passion for the horticulture industry
