About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and organized retail leader with a passion for design, customer experience, and creating beautiful spaces. As the Gift & Home Décor Department Lead, you’ll take the lead in managing day-to-day operations — ensuring the department runs smoothly, merchandise is beautifully presented, and guests enjoy an inspiring shopping experience. This role combines merchandising, sales leadership, inventory management, and guest service — perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment and takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Full-time 40hrs – Wage $23.00 – 25.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring every interaction reflects our brand values.
- Oversee daily department operations, including receiving, pricing, inventory accuracy, and stock rotation.
- Analyze sales trends and inventory levels to support merchandising and replenishment decisions.
- Create inspiring, well-organized visual displays that reflect current trends and seasonal stories.
- Collaborate with management and the visual merchandising team to maintain cohesive store presentation and branding.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting department that enhances the guest experience.
- Assist with in-store promotions and seasonal displays, helping to create a vibrant shopping environment.
Is this you?
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience, preferably in home décor, lifestyle, or gift merchandising.
- Strong visual merchandising skills with an eye for detail and design.
- Proven ability to manage inventory and track sales performance effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, fostering collaboration and motivation within the team.
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and POS/inventory management systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and seasonal peaks as required.
- Comfortable with light lifting and extended periods of standing or walking.
