Gardenworks Return & Rental Policy – Japanese Beetle
Why this policy exists
The Japanese Beetle is an invasive plant pest regulated under Canada’s Plant Protection Act. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has restricted the movement of plants and soil out of certain areas in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Kamloops.
Because of this, plants that have been purchased at Gardenworks and brought into any of these regulated areas, cannot be removed. To comply with these regulations and help protect our community’s gardens, Gardenworks is not permitted to accept returns of plants that have been grown or kept outdoors in these regulated areas.
