GARDENWORKS Nanaimo is looking for a knowledgeable and friendly garden enthusiast to join our team. This is a hands-on role working across all departments of the garden centre. If you love plants, enjoy helping people, and thrive in a busy indoor/outdoor retail environment, we'd love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist guests in finding the right plants and products for their gardens and projects
• Share your plant knowledge to help customers make confident, informed choices
• Maintain department presentation — watering, deadheading, tidying, and stocking
• Operate our point-of-sale system
• Receive and merchandise incoming product
• Support your team across departments as needed throughout the season

WHAT YOU BRING

• A genuine interest in plants and gardening — you don't need to know everything, but you should love learning
• Some working knowledge of gardening & lifestyle
• A friendly, approachable manner with customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, indoor/outdoor retail environment in all weather
• Comfortable with physical tasks — lifting, bending, and being on your feet throughout your shift
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset

AVAILABILITY
This is a part-time position that could lead to full-time. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Compensation starting at $19.00/hr
