About the Role
The Inventory Coordinator is a store-level support role that keeps our receiving operation running smoothly and accurately. You'll work closely with department managers and leads — handling the day-to-day operational and administrative tasks tied to receiving so they can stay focused on their teams, their departments, and our guests.
This is a detail-oriented, physically active role that sits at the centre of our product flow — from the moment a delivery arrives to the moment product hits the sales floor.
What you'll be doing:
- Processing incoming shipments in our CounterPoint POS system, including purchase orders, invoices, and quantity adjustments
- Verifying physical deliveries against packing slips and POs, and flagging any discrepancies, shortages, or damages to the relevant department manager
- Keeping receiving documentation organized and moving accurately to the accounting team
- Coordinating vendor returns and assisting with return-to-vendor logistics
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe back-of-house storage area
- Supporting department managers and leads with backstock movement, floor replenishment, tagging, and pricing
- Assisting with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and seasonal changeovers
- Operating material handling equipment (forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, flatbeds) safely
- Building solid working relationships with vendor reps and delivery drivers to keep receiving efficient
A few things to know about this role:
- Workload is seasonal — volume increases significantly during spring setup, spring selling season, and holiday; flexibility and adaptability are essential
- During slower periods, you'll support general store operations as directed by your Store Manager
- Early morning start times, weekends, and some statutory holiday availability will be required during peak periods
Is This You?
- Are highly detail-oriented — catching a quantity discrepancy or a missing credit memo before it becomes someone else's problem is satisfying to you
- Take ownership of your systems and space — the back room, the paperwork flow, the POS records reflect your standards
- Communicate proactively — you flag issues early and give people the information they need without being asked
- Are comfortable working in a support function — you do your best work behind the scenes, helping others succeed
- Can shift gears without losing accuracy — peak season is high-volume and fast-moving; you stay organized under pressure
- Are physically capable and consistent — this role involves repeated lifting, extended time on your feet, and working in all weather
- Are reliable and self-directed — you follow established procedures, manage your time well, and don't need to be micromanaged
- Pick up new systems quickly — CounterPoint or similar POS/inventory software comes naturally to you, or you're motivated to learn it fast
